Nashville Predators Foundation 2020 Hockey Fights Cancer Fundraising E-Commerce Store
Challenge:
As everyone navigated an unprecedented time during the COVID-19 pandemic, events were cancelled and NHL hockey games were indefinitely postponed. The Nashville Predators Foundation relies on fan donations from merchandise sold during the Predators home games to help fund their Foundation initiatives and grants. As the Hockey Fights Cancer month approached, Blink Marketing worked closely with the Foundation to brainstorm creative ways they could fundraise while games were still postponed.
Approach:
Blink Marketing worked with the Predators Foundation to utilize our pop-up e-commerce platform to engage the fans and generate donations by showcasing new Hockey Fights Cancer merchandise on a simple online platform. Once the merchandise was selected, the online store launched and was opened to the public to make purchases.
Outcome
The webstore featured merchandise including t-shirts, quarter zips, mugs and hoodies. The orders were produced and drop shipped by the Blink warehouse team. By working with the Blink Marketing team, the Nashville Predators were able to take a hands-off approach and raise over $4,500 for their Hockey Fights Cancer initiative. Plans are already underway to open a second pop up webstore during 2021.
