Cesar ’12 Days of Twinning’ Advent Calendar

Challenge: 
Mars Petcare’s CESAR® Brand wanted to generate interest in the brand and create a holiday experience between pet owners and their pups using a sweepstakes promotion. They challenged Blink to produce a ‘12 Days of Twinning’ Advent Calendar Box filled with fun items for pet owners to twin with their furry friend.

Approach:
Blink worked for 6 months to produce custom matching items to fill each of the 12 drawers in the box – think: matching bow ties, matching Santa hats, matching stockings, and much more!  After several brainstorm sessions, we finalized the product selections and began testing and risk assessments to ensure safety for pet owners and dogs alike. Along with producing product, we also designed and launched a webstore to allow recipients to order custom wrapping paper with their dog’s photo on it! Next, we designed the calendar box to have a premium look and also made sure each drawer was the correct size to hold the selected items. All the merchandise and boxes were shipping to Blink’s fulfillment center to be assembled, fulfilled, and prepared for shipping across the United States.

Outcome:
From the 23,000 sweepstakes entrants, Blink selected 200 winners and drop shipped Advent Calendar Boxes to the winners. The campaign had almost 1 Billion earned impressions and a large amount of media coverage, including People Magazine online and Red Tricycle. This multi-faceted project was a huge success, and Blink was thrilled to be a part of it!
