The Nashville Predators Foundation is an organization within the Nashville Predators NHL Hockey Club that focuses on raising money to support Nashville and the surrounding communities. The Foundation raises the majority of their money for the fiscal year through three large events: an Unmasked Ball and Wine Festival and Tasting in the spring and a Celebrity Golf Tournament in the fall. The goal was to assist the Foundation with securing a unique branded item for their silent auction that would appeal to a large range of people from hockey enthusiasts to CEOs to casual fans and the general public.
Focusing on the gala event in the spring, Blink Marketing partnered with the Nashville Predators Foundation to design and produce an etched and color-filled premium bottle of wine. By creating an item that the attendees had never seen before, we were able to create a buzz around this unique item.
We produced a total of 15 bottles of Chardonnay and 15 bottles of Champagne. We opted for a white wine and champagne so that once in the hands of the Foundation, they would have a perfect canvas for the team to autograph each bottle adding even more value to an already desirable custom item.
The week of the event, we assisted the Predators Foundation in making a final ticket sales push for the event by utilizing our social media capabilities and reaching out to our Blink community. We put images on Facebook and Twitter featuring the wine bottle along with ticket information for the event.
The branded wine and champagne bottles were displayed during the silent auction in February 2012. The winning bids resulted in the Foundation raising upwards of $9,000 to support local charities!
Prior to the event, the Director of Community Relations for the Predators Foundation said, “The bottles look fabulous!! Fans are going to eat them up (or maybe drink them up?)!”
We are already discussing how many bottles the Predators Foundation will be reordering for the gala event next spring! The biggest thank you that we can receive is a referral from our clients. The Foundation generously referred us to another NHL team, the Florida Panthers, and we are producing etched wine bottles for their team for an event they are hosting in the Fall of 2012.
